President Trump announced on his social media platform, Truth Social, around 1 AM EST last night that a ceasefire had been established. However, this didn't go according to plan.

Shortly after Trump's announcement and the acknowledgment from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), the IDF claimed a missile was intercepted and Iran broke the ceasefire agreement. The Iranian government denied this. Eyal Zamir, the IDF's Chief of General Staff, responded by saying, "In light of these severe violation of the ceasefire carried out by the Iranian regime, we will respond with force"

Trump ran to Truth Social again to voice his displeasure at the ceasefire violation.

Truth Social post by Donald J. Trump urging Israel not to drop bombs, calling it a major violation. Dated June 24, 2025, with engagement stats.

Reporters approached President Trump on his way to a NATO summit in the Netherlands. The video below is via ABC News.

While the ceasefire is fresh and fragile, it remains in effect and no other violations were reported at the time of this writing.
